I have my pictures hosted on my home page. All I do is copy & paste. There are a couple of way's to do it though.
If the pictures are on the computer upload them to a free host site and then click on the picture and on the properties click and copy the address then paste it her with the IMG icon.
It's the one with the mountain tops in yellow.

When you browsed to find the pics, were you doing it on your hard drive? That's the only place the "Click here to upload!" can look.
