Is something loose in my drivetrain?

I have a 08 suburban, 4x4, 40k miles, everytime I come to a stop and take off again I can feel and hear a thud..it sounds and feels like someone is in the rear of the truck and they drop a bowlingball from about 6 inches above the floorboard when I take off..each time I feel like the drive shaft or rear end is going to fall out..any ideas. thanks!

Take it to a dealer, you should have a 10 year 100,000 power train correct?

or is it 5/60?

sounds to me like a u-joint, but I could be wrong... if its under warrenty, let them deal w/it...

Or T/C clutch disengaging.

It's 5yr/100K Powertrain

hey i took my truck to the dealer today to unlock the navigation sistem, and also told them that my '07 silverado is doing the very same thing, when i stop it feels like something shifts to the front of the truck and when i pull up it feels like it shifts to the back, almost like a tool box is sliding around in the truck bed, they took it for a spin and confirmed the problem, so they ordered some slip yoke and lube, i don't know what that is but they will call me later on this week when this arrives, so i will tell you the results, and yes you should have 100k or 5 yrs warranty on your truck
so just take it to a dealer to be fixed for free 'cause this loose thing feeling is annoying !!!

My 2000 Z71 did the same thing. I just removed the drive shaft and lubricated the slip yoke with high temp synthetic grease and that took care of the problem.
