swappin Chevy parts for GMC parts

has anyone noticed that the rear area above the licensce plate on a GMC is blank? It has no GMC markings or decals at all. I was wondering if anyone has tried to put a GMC piece on in place of the chevy piece to alleviate the bow tie?
