Default Is This Tahoe Actually Real?

First off, I would like to say that I am a new member here, an owner of a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado K1500, and a proud Chevrolet enthusiast.

I was searching eBay and came across a 2000 model second generation Chevrolet Tahoe (not like the C/K style of the 90's), apparently with the Z71 AND LS package! I origionally thought the Z71 package wasn't offered on this generation of Tahoe or Suburban until 2001, and only in LT trim. My question is, do you think someone just threw Z71 badging on this vehicle or is it indeed a rare 2000 model Z71 LS with the factory skid plates, suspension and everything? And if it is real, are there any of you Tahoe enthusiasts on here who could give me some numbers on how many of these were produced with these package combinations? Any help would be appreciated. Below I have posted the eBay auction number.(hope this doesn't violate any forum rules)

I'm new to this forum too, from the picture you attached, it does seem pretty obvious that it does not have the Z71 roof rack, nor the side steps! If you were serious about purchasing, I would at least check out the vehicle if possible and get the RPO codes from the glovebox, or if the seller is not close have them ship you those codes! That would help you distinguish if its a true Z71 or not. I believe one of the moderators (think ZX) posted what the RPO codes stand for.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Good advice, misonido. Also from what I've heard, it's not a good idea to buy a used vehicle on ebay sight unseen.

Maybe the same guy that was selling Bose stickers for non-bose systems was selling Z-71 stickers as well.

I bought my Tahoe on ebay a few years ago. The truck was in Atlanta and I am in PA so I had Auto Appraisers Group look it over and provide a report. Well worth the price.

No such thing as an LS Equipment Group Tahoe with Z71 Supesnion Package in the GMT800 or GMT900 models.
Somebody got hold of the decals.

I could be wrong, but I think my 2003 Z71 Tahoe is an LS package. Am I reading my RPO's wrong?

Where are you getting "LS" from this sticker?

The 1SL option code signifies an LT package, what do think, that I make this stuff up?

In the 2003 shop manual, it states SLT as the LT packaging RPO code.

Is that something different?

Is this consumer guide mistaken?

http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...suburban-2.htm

It lists the LT packaging as the 1SM code. Granted, this is 2004 and mine is an 2003. Did it change over the years?

Or:

http://www.intellichoice.com/reports...hevrolet/Tahoe

It lists the 2003 LT as being 1SM.

Am I misreading something in combination with RPO Z71?

I simply asked a question regarding identification.

The thought of you making stuff NEVER entered my mind.

Why would YOU make that up? Simply because I asked a question?
