Tahoe - Long Lasting - Most Miles? - Better tasting?

Ok, so post 'em up

I have a 1995 with 215,000 miles.

can anyone beat the miles on their tahoe?

Most miles wins, but only the recognition that they win.

I can post a photo of mine as well... so no cheaters!

Replaced: Water pump (2), Alternator, Battery, Starter, heater core, radiator, plugs, wires, rotor/cap.

A guy at the body shop next door to my work has a 1996 with 263,000. I just put injectors in it. He has had 2 waterpumps, intake gaskets, several complete tune ups, transmission, starter, alternator, a couple batteries,1 used transfer case2 years ago, used case was just rebuilt last week, axle seal and probally many other things. The truck is starting to nickle and dime him to death so he is looking to upgrade to a newer truck.

Didn't Chevy have a quarter million mile club? or is that Toyota...
Thought they (GM) would send you something certificate or something like that if you took the time to send in some info...it was years ago probably don't do it anymore..

They do!

why do they only do it for the pickups? can I put in my tahoe and get a free sticker?!

Yeah I saw that but I guess that is to keep it from getting out of hand.

2001 Chev Tahoe LT 4x4 260,000 miles

I just bought a new 2013 Tahoe LT and am getting rid of my 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT. I'll miss it. It has treated me really well. I have 260,000 miles on it. I have to say, I've been lucky. Within the past 2 months I had to replace the alternator, front ani lock brake sensors and the fuel pump. In the past, I've done a head gasket, shockes, one axle seals, and a U joint by the transfer case. But nothing has been too out of hand. I also finally repalced the rear cargo door lift gate pistons as they finally gave out. Wouldn't hold the door up anymore. Some dash lights for the radio won't work anymore either.

But, I have to say, I love the truck. It still runs great. Hope the new one treats me just as well.

My 03 Burb has 143K on it, and since I retired, I think it's going to outlast me.

My 07 has 178K on it. Changed injectors, brakes and rotors, one folding mirror, all four shocks @ 120K, floor mats and one window seal. Never did that trans flush at 100K.

I think of the Trany Oil like I do that in the Engine. I'm not so precise on the mileage, but take the "duty" into consideration. A couple or three years of driving slow traffic with the heat we got down here, and I give it (and the filter) a change.

Most tranny Oil is set up to operate from 175-200 degrees, and the Oil Cooler impresses 195 degrees on it all the time. It just makes me suspicious about just how hot it does get with the influence of the road surface temperature, and the backwash off of the radiator.

I'd say environmentally, it would well exceed 200 degrees regularly in mid summer.
