Tahoe sunroof leaking
 

I have a '01 Tahoe with what I assume is a leaking sunroof. The water is collecting in the front light console with the garage door buttons and dripping out. I've read the other posts that point out I need to check the drain holes to see if they are blocked. I'm just trying to figure out what to look for when I am able to get up there. Where are these holes located - in the corners, on the sides, front or back of the sunroof? How many holes am I looking for? When I pour water up there, I want to make sure I'm testing ALL the possible drain holes to ensure none are blocked. Any other helpful info would be great. Thanks in advance.

You need to check the drains which I believe are located at the rear corners of the sunroof. They sometimes get clogged with dirt and need to be reamed out to ensure proper drainage.

You're lucky - the sunroof on our 2005 Yukon intermittently would not close (no sound, no hum), would always open though. Dealer thought it was a bad switch, but it wasn't; after a few return visits for same problem dealer actually admitted "we have absolutely no idea what is wrong or how to fix". Fought and got refund on the service charge from the dealer, that took a few months. I had told them I'd pay for a fix, but not a guess, and they assured me then that they could fix it.

So I removed the fuse so the sunroof cannot be opened - therefore preventing entry of rain, dirt, cold, or thieves....
