I think that 2nd quarter release this year is a bit optimistic.
The 2-way remote is having reliability issues in testing that the manufacturer is trying to sort out.

I got this via email from GM on Monday:

Our 2-Way Advanced Remote Start was intended to be in market for several GM vehicles during the second quarter of this year. We have decided to delay its launch to ensure its performance meets the high expectations of our customers. We are currently working through technical validation and expect to begin releasing this product into commerce later this summer.

Thanks for your interest in our accessories!

Pretty much mirrors what ZX1100F1 says.
