Daytime Running Lights

Hello Everyone, I'm new to this site, so hope I don't make a fool of myself...lol.

I have a 98 GMC Burb, and the daytime running lights don't turn off when I shift to park. I have pulled the #15 fuse so they don't come on when I turn the key on. I like having DRL's as they help catch ppl's attention so they don't pull out in front of me. Anyone know what I would need to do to get the DRL's to turn off in park?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

AFAIK, the DRLs come on as soon as you turn the key on.

They stay on when your engine is off (?)
Some stay on while in Park & the engine is running, you have to shut off using the dash switch;
some have the delay, & go off after a minute or so, after the engine is shut off;
some stay on until you open & close the drivers door;
some (like my Mustangs head & taillights, are always on while the engine is running...
