2001 front diff question????
 

Hi, I have a 2001 tracker that is old and used as a second vehicle. It's generating new noises in the front diff and I am wondering is it possible to remove this diff and still be able to drive while the diff is out for repairs? I am wondering IF the trans needs to know there is a front diff for the vehicle to operate correctly? I can use it in rear wheel drive until the front is repaired as we need the vehicle daily.
