A/C evaporator leak
Hi guys,
My 1999 Tracker A/C is leaking under the passengers feet. I have tried the usual things to clean the drain. Then I tried to remove the bottom halve of the evap box to clean it out. No luck. It seems the seal between the box and the firewall is leaking. My question is do I have to remove the entire evaporator box, removing refrigerant to disconnect, and take the entire thing out to replace this seal? Are there screws on the back side of the box to separate top from bottom? Can I get the bottom halve of the box out without removing the evaporator? Thanks for any help. |

YES, Help please!
Surely thishas happened to someone and found the problem! My 99TrackerAC has been leaking on the passenger floorboard for a couple of seasons now anddon’t want my floor boards rotting out. Now, like most cars, my tracker’s condensationdoesn’t leak to the outside like other cars. So! Is there a plug/drain that is clogged? And making it back up into the cab? I’ve lookedat all the outside lines, and all looks normal. Someoneplease help! Thanks... |
