04 trans issue
 

It will go into R, then D , 1st maybe lingers too long , it will shift to 2nd, 3rd is intermittent . Then after a block or 2 it will rev high not shifting, if I stop it then it doesnt engage at all, Shut it off for a few mins. restart it and it will do the above again. I've thought about changing filter & solenoids, but maybe its the pump?
Is there a test to check the pump, or a symptom that will confirm what is wrong with this trans. ? please any assistance is appreciated, I havent bought a reader yet, just bought vehicle from auction, no plates yet so I cant really drive it to Autozone. at different times a dash light "change oil" , "low oil pressure", "check engine" have appeared but gone away.
