2003 water leak
My 2003 LT has developed a water leak on the driver side. I never see it leaking but the carpet is soaked. Wondering if anyone out there has had a similar problem. I believe there was a TSB about a water leak? I also have no floor heat--only defrost; I changed the battery recently and assume that the servo(s) are damaged--that's another project. I'm assuming that the two problems are totally unrelated, just coincidence?

is it water--- or antifreeze.
the heater core may have sprung a leak. try setting the AC controls to off- and the vents control to the left most position. remove the FUSE for the AC system for about 10 min. then put fuse back in. you may hear little motors humming. thats them learning their new position... during this time- do no turn the key. see if that works. the 2 problems are prob not related. |
Its water. I already tried pulling the HVAC fuses to reset the actuators--didn't work. I'll try again, since I'm not sure the vent controls were all the way to the left....

I wonder if we are having the same problem. Do you by chance have a sunroof? I think that's where mine might be coming from. Saw somewhere else (don't remember where) with a different vehicle that there are "drainage tubes" (???) from the sunroof and if they become clogged it could lead to water in the interior. Now all I have to do is figure out how to clean out the said tubes to see if that's my problem, maybe it's a start for you to. I'll keep you informed if you do the same. :p
