2007 Trailblazer

Bought this vehicle in 2008 used had it about 6 months gas guage goes out . I waited for them to recall this because alot of people have the same problem . I waited until july 2011 finally broke down and took it to the dealer and got it fixed . It cost $448.74 to get it fixed i thought it would cost more another reason i waited for a recall . I called G.M. and filed a complaint about the gas guage a week before i took it in to get fixed . The lady i spoke with told me i had to get it fixed at a chevy dealer and to call her A.S.A.P after i got it fixed . I did told her what they fixed and how much . Month later i got a letter in the mail from G.M. asked me to send them a copy of my reciept and that there was a lawsuit filed and that i could get 1/2 of my money back . Today in the mail i got a check from G.M. for $224.37 . You know anybody with this problem tell them to call G.M. complaint line and go get it fixed at a G.M. dealer and they will get 1/2 there money back .

Just had this done on my Wife's 2007 Trailblazer yesterday...had searched the web and found references to it being a chronic problem, and that GM had extended the warranty to 10 years for the Fuel Level Sensor on those models, agreeing to pay 50% of the replacement cost for early life failures...my replacement cost at the GM dealer yesterday was $165.
