How do I get the Engine Hours from a 2005 Trailblazer
 

My instrument cluster is not working properly.

I've found a replacement but the company selling the replacement wants to know the Engine Hours on the original cluster.

2005 Trailblazer owner's manual says push the reset button on the instrument cluster and you'll get the Engine Hours number, but since the cluster is malfunctioning, it's refusing to show the Engine Hours number. Basically, I'm in a Catch-22 situation: I need the cluster to work properly to get the engine hours, but if the cluster was working properly I wouldn't need the number.

So, my question: does anyone know an alternate way of getting the Engine Hours number from a 2005 Trailblazer?
