Old Newbie

Really really old Chevy addict here, but new to the site.

Am an RV'er, have been towing 22'-24' travel trailers since 1988 with a 1965 Chevy Van with 292 I6-TH350. Right now towing a 22' 4,000 lb Tahoe Lite. Have towed about 90,000 miles all over western USA, but with no A/C.

DW says no more trips to desert SW without air. (Last summer, we towed from Blaine WA to Bend OR and it was close to 100 degrees much of the way). So, she is willing to give up her daily driver, a 2008 HHR to buy a medium size SUV with air to tow the Tahoe TT. When the Trailblazers came out with a 6 cyl, I was always curious if it could tow a 4,000 lb trailer. I like the style and it would be the right size for DW's daily driver.

Around here we've found a 2005 Trailblazer 6 LS for $6000, 118,000 miles.

Thus, will it tow my Tahoe???? Is $6000 in the ballpark (I realize price depends on condition and geographical area)?????

Partial list of former Bowties (can't remember them all):
1955 210 two door post, 6 cyl
1957 210 two door post, 6 cyl
1962 Nova wagon
1965 Nova 4-dr
1967 Camaro, 6 three on tree
1988 Suburban Silverado 454
1996 Corsica
2005 Chevy Express, 6.0
