Radio help
 

I purchased a used 2005 Trailblazer recently and the radio is locked. I literally just left a Chevy dealership where they tried 2 things to unlock it. The 2nd thing worked but the problem is the radio continuously turns on and off...very annoying. I was told it might be a wire issue. I spent $75 for them to unlock it and didn’t want to spend hundreds for them to redo/check the wiring. When the car is on I can’t shut the radio off. I tried turning the volume off and putting the volume to just the back speakers but when it shuts off by itself (every 2 seconds) it goes back to original settings. My question is, how can I disconnect the radio or speakers so I don’t have to listen to it shut on and off? Any input is appreciated...thanks!

I will try and take the fuse out and see if that works!

You will lose any audible alarms if you kill the radio so keep an eye on your guages and dash lights.
