Road noise(?) when turning right
 

My 2005 Trailblazer is making noise when turning to the right. I thought it was just tire/road noise, but it is getting louder and louder. It makes the noise a little when going straight or a little right pressure on the wheel. However, when turning left the noise is gone.

I recently had new front shocks or struts put on by a friend who is a mechanic at a local Cadillac dealership. I don't know if the issue is related or not. My wife drives the Trailblazer 99% of the time...

Welcome to the forum.:) Symptoms like that are usually from wheel bearings. Perhaps injudicious use of big hammers or air guns by the mechanic is the cause. Hopefully he didn't let the brake calipers hang by the hose as well (a little peeve of mine).:(

Shounds like a bad bearing. Most likely has nothing to do with previous repair

OK, if the noise is there when I am turning right then it is the left wheel bearing that is bad, correct? It seems that would be the weight bearing side...

Also, I can't find any replacement info on here. Am I missing it somewhere?

Okay, this is an old thread, but for those who are still reading on front wheel noise...

My front passenger side wheel bearing went bad. I knew it was the passenger side wheel bearing because when it first started making a grinding noise, it worsened as I turned left and went away when I turned right. Over time it got louder and when turning left or right made less of a difference on the noise, I new it was past time to replace. I changed the part in my garage in a few hours with a part from the local big box auto store.

Hope this helps someone who is currently digging for answers
