2010 Traverse Cruise Control
 

I have a 2010 Traverse with 32,000 miles on it. Within the last 5,000-10,000 miles or so when I am using the cruise control, the engine will rev up to 3500-4000 rpm's while going up and down hills. Most of the time I have to disengage the cruise control to get the rpm's back down! I took it to my local dealership, where I bought it, and they tell me this is how the vehicle is suppose to run!!! I find that hard to believe!!!
Anyone else having an issue with cruise control like this?

my 07 silverado will downshift going up hills with the cruise, run up to 3500-4000rpms, sometimes it wont shift back to 6th, but thats only when im running 75mph or higher. I know most vehicles dont like the cruise being set on inclines. Im not sure of a fix. But its happening to me to.

thecar84, have you tried getting a second opinion from another dealership near to you? They might have another approach to the issue or have some other information or experience with the issue that may help you. I hope that helps.
