Engine Knock and Low oil Pressure?! HELP!!!
 

For the past week or so I have noticed a knocking sound coming from under the hood. It isn't always present. When I first start the van I hear nothing, then after about 5-10min I hear it occassionally. When it is present it gets faster when I accelerate and slower when I let off the gas. Also for the past 2 days I have been getting a low oil pressure notice as well. The van only has 67,500 miles on it so I am not sure what could be going on. I know I need an oil change, but am only 100 miles past due and plan on getting one this weekend. Any ideas? I am really stressing about this.:confused:

This may sound silly but have you checked the oil level?

The low oil pressure light is CONDITION CRITICAL. You risk big damage by continuing ti drive with it on. If the level is OK you should have it checked out immediately!
