light upgrade
I upgraded my headlights to NOKYA Arctic White Light Bulbs (Stage II, H11). They are very nice and cheap put some hyper white fog lights on and now want to upgrade my dtrl/ front blinkers. They seem to run a very low voltage any ideas on how i can make them a brighter white. I tried LED but they need 10.5 -15.5 to work properly.:)

I am interested in a lights upgrade on my 05 Uplander. I have not done anything yet. I will monitor this thread for further comments/information. Pictures if possible would be nice of any upgrades completed. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thank you greatly for the pictures. Although the pics probably do not fully show how well the lights actually look, they give some idea of what the changes have done to the overall appearance. I am definitely interested in upgrading my headlights to something better than the factory issue that I have now. This is a great thread. Hope to see others who might have attempted and completed a light upgrade.

The NOKYA Arctic White Light Bulbs (Stage II, H11 specs
Output: 12V 80W Actual = 100W Brightest Color: Arctic White (7000K) Xenon White Color . 7000k is the highest you can find without doing the HID upgrade and still get the HID look and the cheapest bulbs i found.( under $20 on amazon) hopefully ppl do post what they have done and we can compare. |
Questions to Evil~Within, Did you do any other upgrades to any of your electrical system in the Van, i.e. alternator, regulator, etc? Do you now have the standard or heavy duty alternator? How long since you had the upgrade completed? How much night driving do you do?
Thanks for all the info thus far. |
I bought the van used it had 27k on it i have not done anything to it. I wont till theres a problem. and as far as the reg. or heavy duty alt. not sure never noticed but if it ever goes out it will get the heavy duty. the only upgrade that i have planed on was the battery when this one dies it will be getting a Optima battery YellowTop Dual Purpose (Deep Cycle & Starting). <TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" bgColor=#f2f2f2><TBODY><TR><TD width=20>http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/img/tmpl/sp.gif</TD><TD vAlign=bottom width="20%" align=middle><TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" align=center><TBODY><TR><TD style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 8px" vAlign=bottom width="20%" align=middle>http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/...jpg?1238378861 </TD></TR><TR><TD style="PADDING-TOP: 0px" vAlign=bottom align=middle>YellowTop Group 35 Dual Purpose (Deep Cycle & Starting</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" bgColor=#f2f2f2><TBODY><TR><TD width=20>http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/img/tmpl/sp.gif</TD><TD vAlign=bottom width="20%" align=middle><TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" align=center><TBODY><TR><TD style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 8px" vAlign=bottom width="20%" align=middle>http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/...jpg?1238378861 </TD></TR><TR><TD style="PADDING-TOP: 0px" vAlign=bottom align=middle>YellowTop Group 35 Dual Purpose (Deep Cycle & Starting</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
