new ignition switch -- turn to start -everything goes black/dead
 

put in a new ignition switch,,, in the on position there is power,,, when I turn it to start the power shuts off and the vehicle is dead/black. if i disconnect and reconnect the battery the power comes back on... If I try to start it it goes dead.
The battery has a full charge.
