Roof rack

Roof rack
After wondering why my van had side rails but no cross bars (a lot of uplanders/sv6's do, probably a money grab), I looked closely at ventures at the pick n pull. The smaller style of roof rack is the same on the ventures and uplanders so the cross bars interchange.
Cost on Ebay was something like 180$ plus shipping, the croos bars and tie downs at pick n pull were under 20 bucks. 5 minutes to remove from the scrapper, 5 minutes to install.
Tailgates look the same too, so I'm keeping an eye out for a venture with a fiberglass rear spoiler...

Cross bars
Cross bars dont come with the lt uplander. They only come with side rails specially the newer uplanders. The ls version dont have any but you are right that we can fit the ones from the old venture. It is the same roof rack. On many rack sold in stores you can clamp the roof racks to the side rails. There is a small difference on the tail gate where the side plastic guides differs from the uplander. Also the wiring boots on top has 2 enclosed feeders while the uplander has one. The newer uplanders dont have a rear door tailgate outside lock also
