Default Uplander 2005 LT, other ways to program key fob without using scan tool

Hi all!

I have a Chevy 2005 Uplander LT that I would like to program a new key fob into. I lost my old key fob and it's still programmed into the cars system, and I don't need to worry about it since my car can have up to 4 keys programmed. I don't want to pay 100$ to a dealer to program one measly little remote, so I heard there was one other way to do it by removing the BCM (Body Control Moduel) that would reset the car and put it into programming mode.

http://www.justanswer.com/pontiac/2n836-does-anyone-rent-tech-scan-tool-so-program.html

This is the link, click on transmitters on the second post and it should show how to do it. I can not find the BCM moudel in the fuse box under the hood, so does anybody know where it is?

bcm should be under the dash in the passenger compartment.
