uplander transmission oil cooler 07 advice
 

I would like to install a transmission cooler on a 07 uplander. looking at a Derale Transmission Cooler at etrailer. Do I need to cut the transmission lines to install the cooler or can I use the adapters? not clear? any one add a cooler?

the installation video on the website shows them cutting the line. There is no other way to splice into a factory line.

What adapters? The kits just shows material to splice into the line.

o7 is different than 06, the lines into the rad are not c clips, so they have adapters

the 4T65E transaxle used on the 06 and 07 used the exact same quick connect hoses. Both have a quick connect threaded fitting on the rad and trans that accepts the quick connect hose. Are you talking about removing the threaded fittings on the rad?

I need to remove the tranmission line, how do those quick connect clips work I can't really see anything???

pull back the circular black plastic clip lock. With a pick, hook the wire clip and remove it(its easy to lose the clip so careful). with a quick, sharp pull, remove the hose out of the rad.

to assemble, install the clip by putting one end into the slotted hole in the grove. with your finger roll it around till it fits into the other slotted hole.

Don't spread the clip to install it in the grove.
With the clip in place, snap in the hose. Pull on it to make sure its seated and won't come out. If the plastic retainer won't snap on, its not seated right.
