Coolant flush

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have a 2004 Venture with 37k miles. I would like to go ahead and flush my cooling system and put in new coolant this year to avoid any corrosion issues down the road. Is running the engine with the radiator cap off enough to bleed the air, or do I need to bleed it through the valves? If I need to use the valves, can someone tell me where about they are located? I have no experience flushing the new "Dexcool" systems.

RE: Coolant flush

sure, first of all dexcool is good foe about 100,000 miles. so there is really no reason to flush it. but anyways yes it is ok to leave off the coolent cap. and there is one bleeder that i know of that can help to bleed the system. the bleeder screw is located on top left by the intake. hope this helps.
