Manual sliding door won't stay open
 

I have a 2004 Venture with a manual sliding door on the driver's side. When I open the door on even a slight decline, the door won't stay open. In other vans I've owned there was some sort of latch that kept it open until you pulled the handle...I can't figure this one out and my Haynes manual doesn't say anything. Any suggestions is appreciated. Todd
