End of Lease
Does anyone have any advise for someone who's lease is about to expire on a 2012 Chevy Volt?
I was considering waiting for the 2016 Volt release but after reading some reviews I'm not sure if it will work for me. I enjoyed driving my 2012 Volt but I had a few issues with it and wasn't happy with some of the service I received when I tried to have the recalls resolved. I'd be really interested in what other people have done after their Volt lease expired. Buyout their Volt lease; Buy/Lease another Volt; Buy/Lease a Leaf or i3; or something else. JB |
How's the battery holding up? What's the cost to replace it?
I guess I would try to go with something for a year or so and then decide on the new volts? Would they extend your lease another year? 6 months? |
The battery held up surprisingly well! I didn't see any deterioration in distance traveled over the 3 years I drove the car. There is an 8 year 100,000 mile warranty on the batteries so I wouldn't expect any problems for a while.
I financed through Ally and they wouldn't offer me an extension. The dealer, knowing that I wanted a 2016 model, didn't offer any alternatives either. :-( |
Not really any volt owners here. You might try that more specific volt forum.
here's a post from the blog here today about 2015 discounts. https://chevroletforum.com/forum/new...57/ |
