Default 04 Silverado A/C problem

hello so I'm new to this forum but I have an 04 Silverado 2500hd with a 416 stroker and a 83/96 turbo. I recently rebuilt the engine and I took the front clip off to pull the engine and tranny at the same time. So I had to disassemble my A/C and so forth. Well now I have it back together and I took it to my buddies lube shop since they have an A/C machine and we leak tested it and no leaks were found. But as soon as we started charging it, it started leaking freon from the condensation dripper deal on the passenger side and from under the dash where that piece goes through the firewall. The A/C worked fine before. Any help would be awesome thank you

sure sounds like the evaporator core is leaking. If its coming out of the water drain tube...the evaporator is the only a/c part in there...the connections to the evaporator are in the engine compartment. 12 year old tubes can break from the core easily during hose removal and that sounds like what happened. On old systems like these, heater core and evap core hose removal is a delicate thing.

Hmm okay and well it hasn't ever been removed or messed with, just the condenser in the front of the truck. But if they break easy then could be. Thank you
