swapping 1986 305 to 1982 350
I am posting this here because I couldn't find the right thread for a Silverado. but anyways I am changing out the 305 in my 86 with a 350 from an 82. So I guess my question is what might be some problems I'll face

The order 350 has differnt angle heads for the intake if ur gonna keep it carbed wont matter but center bolt valve covers have a slighty. Differnt angle than the older carbed engines

I was looking at the engines today and one thing I noticed was the distributers were different...the one on the 82 350 had only a two wire connection while the 86 305 had a 4 wire connect. anyone know what might be one way to deal with this

you shouldnt have any problems at all the pistons are bigger and the valves on the heads are different on a 350. I would replace the distributor with a new one as well as cap rotor coil ect.
