Engine Question
Hi all. Got a 95 2500 Vandura. 192,000 and change and never left me stranded. Pulling my small popup from the beach back home and started to come into some grades. under load she wanted to flame out, buck a little bit. No power at all. Nice and level no problem, any hills would slow down from 70 to 50 or so. Replaced the plugs wires cap and button 6 months ago. Maybe a fuel filter clog? Or could be a compression seal or vacuum? Just need a starting point.

That's a typical symptom of a clogged fuel filter. You get enough gas to run straight and level but when you try to speed up to pass or maintain speed up a grade you don't get sufficient gas to produce the additional power needed. If you're on the road, sometimes a tank of premium will have the cleaners to dissolve enough of the clog to get you home.

At that point it was about half a tank. I checked my wires for looseness or cracks, and i'm changing the filter this weekend. I ran my dual exhaust and it ended up right under the filter! Gonna have to get flexible! I'll let you know, thanks.
