O2 Sensor Heater INC

O2 Sensor Heater INC
Greetings Gents,
I have a 1998 Chevy Express 1500 Conversion that I recently picked up. The PO obviously had reset the engine check light and I am in the process of getting it sorted out.
It currently is not plated so I don't want to drive it on the road until I have a few things done.
There are 2 INC on the OBDII scan. The catalyst which obviously needs a drive cycle to activate but I also have an INC on the heater for the O2 sensors. What I need to understand is if the O2 heaters are supposed to be able to register without a drive cycle?
If so, then I will have to figure out which one of the four is not working. If the heaters do need a drive cycle to activate I will have to get it on the road first.
Thanks In Advance!

You should be able to check o2 codes by just warming it up good I think. At least they should show if they are out of range or not.
If you have never changed them, or don't know how old they are, then I would change them anyway. At least the 2 upstream ones.
also the o2 sensor issue could also cause the cat one.

Hey thanks for the reply.
So I went out and replaced all four O2 sensors.
I also found that the pink wire to the post cat O2 sensor on one side was broken so I fixed that too.
Just did the first drive on it and the SES light came on.
I am still showing O2 sensor htr INC and now that is coupled with a P0420 code for low efficiency bank 1.
Just wondering if the two are related or am I dealing with a wiring issue AND a bad cat
Cheers
Bernie

P0420 DTC Code - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
Most likely a bad cat. on the bank 1 side.....
You may need to drive it more to get rid of the inc......it needs more data. However you may have to fix that cat first and then drive it for a bit, clear the inc, and then check again for any codes.
