Default Common failure pics for 4L60E trans

This is a common failure on a 4L60E automatic trans, which is most of all your rear wheel drive vehicles cars and trucks, including Pontiac and Oldsmobile. Engine sizes 2.2,4.3,4.8,5.3,5.7,LT1 and LS1. But not all 4.8,5.3,and 5.7, because some of the 2500 trucks have 4L80E's in them, you will just have to check. Years range from 96' and up to far as I know 05'. Therefore, this really covers alot of vehicles. If you have never had the tranny replaced or rebuilt, this is coming your way. There is no way to stop it, it is a part failure from factory. You could only get 50,000 miles or you may go 150,000 miles, there is no way to know and no warning, sorry. One day you will hop in your vehicle, put it in reverse and nothing with happen. It's done and over, time for a overhaul. You will also only 1st and 3rd for the forward gears. They make a hardened shell to replace this one and we put it in everyone we do., whether it has failed or not. So enjoy.
