Interior controls "glow" lights
I have a 2000 suburban 1500. Over the past few years, I've been slowly loosing the little "glow" lights on my interior radio and window controls. If there is a proper name for these lights, please let me know.
Anyway, since the radio and window controls do work, it's more of an annoyance that when I'm driving at night, I can't see the buttons. I have to feel my way around when changing stations on the radio or switching from radio to CD.
Does anyone know (1) what these lights are called and (2) how to repair/replace them? I realize we're talking convenience here, but it is sooooo annoying!
Please help. Thank you
dck

RE: Interior controls "glow" lights
they're called display bulbs, also called back lighting.
Here's a website that sells the bulbs and shows you how to solder the new bulbs to the circuit board
