I have an 09 impala LTZ with 232,000 miles on it.. it's been a great car so far.. I bought it in 2014 for $5000 with 200,000 on it I'm just now having to change out the AC compressor.. aside from that nothing has been wrong with it. It's a great car, comfy with lots of room... I wouldn't even think to sell it

2006 Impala
I recently purchased a very cheap impala ($800) because after spending a lot of money on a nice Cadillac truck it needed a major repair in less than 2 months or buying it (not to mention $350 just for replacing headlights)... This impala saved my life and has 242,000 miles or so on it. It is running perfectly fine from what I can tell. I'm assuming it may need a transmission repair soon (according to google) because sometimes when in reverse it is very difficult to get it to back up. Otherwise its a great car and a huge blessing to my family that I was able to find something so cheap during my emergency and i am hoping that if I am very careful it will at least last me 6-12 months so I can upgrade. This is not my first impala i had a much newer one that was totaled a couple years back but that was also a good vehicle. Drove it from Michigan to Texas then from TX to Georgia then back to Michigan with just an oil change.

Well I'll keep it going with my wife's daily driver 2003 Impala base at 273K. We got it with 130K at a dealership. Previous owner was just pulling in to trade and we picked it up. I don't know what was done before but since then, nothing major, nothing unexpected really. I think the strangest thing was the recall to make a mod to the key to prevent the ignition suddenly turning off. I hesitated going in because by the time I took it in we had owned it around six years or so and never had such a problem. Second reason, well, it's a dealership. The car has never been back to a dealership for anything. Anyway, we went just in case, and I'm still not sure what they did to that key. Added a weight? Removed material? Excellent car.

Original parts
I have an 07 LT that just rolled over 300k yesterday. Love this car. All original engine and drivetrain. I've driven this car pretty hard ever since I bought it from the dealer. All maintenance was done by me. Only ever had to replace suspension, blushings, spark plugs, and pan gaskets. Has a rude sounding exhaust leak now that I don't plan on fixing as the stock exhaust is so constricted. My baby is able to breathe easy with the blown cat. Also it sounds like a proper sports car so thats a plus
