Exclamation Engine Cooling Fans

So my 2008 Chevy Impala started acting up the a/c quit working and at the same time the engine cooling fans continues to run for a few minutes after killing the motor regardless of the temperature of the motor. when researching the a/c problem the the only thing that I havent messed with is engine coolant temp to high to run the a/c which should be n/a if the engine is cold, and car temp does not go beyond half way when engine is hot, and I'm not getting a check engine light or codes. Would it be safe to say the ECT sensor is bad and would this resolve both issues with the a/c and cooling fans.
Any info would be helpful
Thanks
