Hello I just bought a 85 K5 Blazer. The back window would not go down. When you hit the power window switch you could hear the motor but still nothing. Found out the window regulator cable was discounicted. So I conected it and it went down, but it will not go up. If I hit the switch for the window to go up nothing. Please help.

Is there a manual way to get my back window back up? Motor works going down but hit the switch for it to go back up and nothing. Do you think it could be the power switch? Please help.fficeffice" />>> >>
I tried that and it did not work. So I thought it needed to go all the way down for it to go back up. Is there a release button or switch to unlock the window or even a way to crank it up?
i had that problem on mine. try checking the ground. mine was grounded to go down. but when i went to raise it up nothing. checked the ground and it was it.

take the inspection cover off and unscrew the cable from the rear window motor, once the cable is loose take some visegrips and grab the cable end and turn ...the window will open or close depending on direction turned...yea might just be in the switch...but this will work till you figure ot out!...........ive had this happen(fun fun )
Had that problem before.. window regulator cable disconnected so I had to check the wires and all that.. But it's not fixed yet so I push up the window while someone is pressing the button.
I drilled a hole in my inspection and stuck the end of the cable thru, I just use a drill to open and close it. I had a working motor in it but my switch was no good, it was always in the up position and eventually it burnt my $55 motor out.
