Hi all.. I was looking for some info on replacing a front speaker on my 2007 Cobalt and found this site. Well, I got the door panel off and dis-connected the speaker I want to replace. I went to buy a new speaker that was noted to "fit" my car. I don't know much about car audio but is there a simple answer/method to plug in the new speaker?
The new speaker is "Alpine SPS-600" it was suggested by the clerk helping me.
Is there some adapter I need or something?
Thanks for reading and ANY info given would be much appreciated.

check out the ohms and watts rating on the old speakers. this should match the one you are trying to replace. for most cases this should be sufficient and you may not require any convertors or adaptors
