Default Front speakers..??

Hi all.. I was looking for some info on replacing a front speaker on my 2007 Cobalt and found this site. Well, I got the door panel off and dis-connected the speaker I want to replace. I went to buy a new speaker that was noted to "fit" my car. I don't know much about car audio but is there a simple answer/method to plug in the new speaker?
The new speaker is "Alpine SPS-600" it was suggested by the clerk helping me.
Is there some adapter I need or something?
Thanks for reading and ANY info given would be much appreciated.

You can make your own adaptors out of a sheet of 1/8" plastic or plexiglass if you want. I don't know if anyone makes an adaptor fro them or not
