Default All Electrical Gone

Good afternoon, People
I have a major problem That I hope someone can point me in the right direction to solve my problem.
My Daughter has a 1997 Chevrolet Venture and yesterday she was riding along smooth as silk (according to her) she turned a corner and she said that all electrical Shut off, Vam, radio, light's, Everthing. I towed the car home and took the alternator off (What a job) took it to Auto Battery&Elecric Local auto shop here and they said that there was nothing wrong with the Battery nor the alternator they told me to check all my ground's. That is a Small problem.
How many are they and where are they at?
I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and what was done to correct it.
Any help would be appericated.

For me I would check my battery cables where they connect to the battery. The wires inside the clamps could have been eaten by the acid over the years. Another possibility is your negative cable making a poor ground at the body.
