Default 1995 z71

i have a 1995 z71 and was wandering if there was any way other than cold air intake or exhaust to increase HP and get more power and torque like a computer programmer but keep in mind i have the OBD1... and what exactly does a throttle body spacer do? is it worth it?

install a turbocharger or supercharger, adds about 30-40% more power at sea level.
installing a quick shift kit will help you get up and go. I have 1 on my truck and it works pretty good.

You could also install high comp 11:1 or 12:1 pistons.
you would need to use supreme gas all the time, but you'd get
ahellofa lot more power. You could also get away with using 12:1 high comp pistons but
you should also do some head work and put in new injectors.

Default wiring problem??

I just bought a 95' Z71 w/ 350 engine. I thought the alternator was gone out in it. I can jump it off just fine, but when I unhook the battery the truck dies!! Alternator right???? Thats what I thought, i took mine off and had it tested at Orielly's. It passed, but I bought a new one just in case. Took the new one home and put it on. Same problem, jumped off fine, unhooked battery and truck died. So now Im thinking that its either my wire running from alternator to ECM board, or the ECM board itself is bad. My question is, how do I find out exactly which pin hole on the ecm board is the one for my alternator??? I dont want to buy a new ECM board if its just the wire shorted out. Any help would be appreciated, i like the truck but feel like I got screwed on this deal.
