1997 Chevy 1500 trouble starting
I've been having trouble with my 1997 Chevy C1500 starting the past month or so. It's always started up but depending on the weather has had trouble starting. I believe it's a V6. Once it started and I drove it, I had no problem the rest of the day starting it up. The only time I have trouble is in the morning. I've replaced the fuel filter and was looking into the starter. It's trying to turn over but the more I try the slower the "rotation" seem to get. I thought that since I wasn't hearing the common clicking that maybe it's just the started solenoid.
BTW, I tried starting it with jumper cables hooked up to a friends battery while he revved the engine with no luck. Anybody have any ideas? Are there any good resources on the web that go over how to perform this type of repair?

Ok so it was the battery. Supposed to have 700 CCA but was only pulling 317. New battery in and all is good. We'll see how it does tomorrow morning. Glad I found out before a real cold snap. Now if I could just get the heat fixed
