Default 2013 silverado windshield whistle

I have a 2013 silverado LTZ. 4x4; crew cab; 20" wheels. At highway speeds, there is a whistling noise in the front of the cab. I can't pinpoint it, but sounds like an air leak somewhere in the windshield. This is a high pitched wind sound. I do have a bug deflector - purchased and installed by dealer.

Took it to the dealer once, and they indicated the noise was caused by the bug deflector, and they installed a different deflector.
This didn't remedy the problem.

Vehicle is back in the shop now (currently day two on this service call). Again, dealer indicates noise is coming from the bug shield. Seems odd/unlikely. I have an '05 silverado & '03 Tahoe - both have bug deflectors - neither have this issue.

Dealer is stating resolution is removal of deflector. Any comments/advice/opinions?

Vehicle has 5600 miles. Very Frustrating!!!

Remove the deflector just as a test to see if the noise goes away. This will prove one way or the other if it is the deflector.

You may also want to try removing the wiper arms as a second troubleshooting opportunity..
Be sure to check all the molding around the windshield, the service tech should be checking it, but don't take that for granted, check the strip and make sure its fully pressed against the glass..

I had a bug deflector on mine as well and had a similar problem. Removing it made the whistle go away.

Dealer replaced bug deflector with an alternate model. No more whistling noise.

Just out of curiosity, which one do you have now? I had the WeatherTech one that not only whistled but at highway speeds it made a "whipping" sound at the top of my windshield. Apparently the air flow was catching the small groove where the glass meets the roof of the cab.

It is a Stampede deflector. Hope that helps.
