Default First timer here, Buying a truck!

Hey guys, My names jordan and i have always wanted to buy a truck! Im 17 and its time for me to buy my own set a wheels. Ive worked along time an i finely have 5000 saved up. I know Its not gunna be perfect but its gunna be my first car so dosent have to be perfect. I have found a 99 chevy silverado and i think its a good decent truck. Just want to know what you guys think of it and if its worth buying.

Looks good, but I would personally check out and drive the truck in person.

drive the truck take it to a mechanic you trust. ask why he wants to trade for a toyota

Yeah i plan on going to take it for a ride and having a family friend that knows alot take a look also.

i can't tell by description you'd have to ask the seller. but if i had to guess from looking at the price no.

I've owned 3 silverados and never had an issue with the can corners rusting up, in fact I don't think I've ever seen this on any silverado. That definitely isn't typical for a silverado.

that z71 for sure is 4wd. better to have and not need than need and not have if the other has 4wd I would start looking into which truck was overall taken better care of. looks like it snows there where you are, and the 4wd option is always fun and helps in the snow.

honestly i'd go for the second one you posted, the first one has performance parts done to it and a custom tune. You don't know how he drove it, which may be why he had to replace a lot of parts for it. the second one looks like a grandpa truck IMO. Drive them both, see which one has the features you want in it, see which one is in better shape, then buy it. They both have the same amount of miles on them and they're the same year so i'd be goin for the second one myself
