Fried Starter for Breakfast?
I installed a new starter in my K1500 (93) I miswired the cable from the battery to the wrong bolt. Zap zap, a little smoke.
Switched up the wire to the correct post, but I get nothing when I turn the ignition. No clicks or grinds. No sound from the starter.
battery is good, all accessories and radio come on.
I'm wondering what wires/relays/fuses could have been toasted. Could that also have damaged the solenoid or starter?

Hi kmesiab, Welcome to the Chevy Forums.
I'd guess you fried the starter solenoid,
so a bench test of the starter is in order.
Also, do a visual check under the hood, and
from the ground up, for burned wires.
