Locks not working on driver door when open...
Hey guys,
I have an '06 silverado. its an automatic if that matters and I am having a prioblem with my driver's side lock button. When the door is open and the truck is on or off, the lock button does not work. but when its shut it works just fine. i took my truck in to winterize it and i asked the dealership about it and they said it would cost either 200 or 400 bucks (i dont quite remember). and i didnt NOT want to spend that much to fix something i could possibly do myself. so is there a way of fixing that myself? just maybe making a wire connection better? if so, how do u do it? step by step would help best.
thanks

Has it ever worked with the door open? I don't know about your truck specifically, but I do know that my wife's CR-V won't allow you to lock the doors with any of the doors open (presumably) so you don't lock your keys in the vehicle.
