Default new engine ?

Due to some problems with my engine, I am thinking of replacing the engine in my 1990 K2500. It has a 350 3.7L engine in it. Anyone have suggestions of what & where to purchase an engine. I don't want rebuilt.
Thanks

Best bet is the crate motor from your local Chevy dealer.

Oh and by the way, everything is rebuilt. You can't buy an absolute new engine without it being in a new vehicle.

I'm looking at a "Chevrolet Performance" engine, part # 12568758, from Summit Racing. It sells for 1,699.97. It appears to be a direct replacement. Anyone ever use this engine? NOTE: In my original post I have a typo error. I meant 5.7L.
