I found a used G80 gov bomb to replace the one that no longer works in my 14 bolt FF in my 04 silverado. I asked the seller to send me pictures of the insides and as I requested he did. The picture shows what appears to be a good condition G80 that is just dirty. My question is, if I end up finding something inside this locker that is broken or worn, can I buy parts for it somewhere? I also want to rebuild or fix whatever went wrong in the G80 that is currently still in my truck. It drives fine but does not lock up at all. Also, with the one I am buying, should I give everything a like new cleaning and reinstall it and hope for the best or are there a few tips and tricks to the G80. I am dead set on keeping with the G80 and do not want to change out the carrier to an open carrier so I can put a detroit or any other kind of locker.
