Most likely cause for this problem
2001 Silverado,
Last weekend I added a little freon to get the AC a little colder, (have never added any) worked great ac was ice cold. drove the truck Saturday it worked fine, got in to today and all that came out was hot air. I have a hearing impairment and can't tell if the compressor is on or not, and can't get a good look at it due to location. What are some things I can look for? Or do I just call my mechanic?
Thanks

I don't think i'd call a mechanic. Not since you have a hearing impairment, they may just say "yep, it's out." so you have to pay them for their work. Do you have a family friend that knows what to look for?
