Default regearing, is it worth it?

i wnat to lift my truck and the main thing thats stopping me from buying the RCX lift for my truck is regearing it, is it worth it? i cant find gears or what ratio i should run ANYWHERE. maybe im not looking hard enough but could someone tell me what gears would be best to run 35x12.50 tires and around about what it would cost. i got a 2500hd 6L. im either getting the RCX 6" lift or level and 3" BL. thanks and sorry if i sound completely retarded but i cant find anything on this subject

From what i've gathered, it's a night and day difference. I have 35s on 3.73 gears and a 5.3 and I plan on doin 4.88 gears more power since I live in a small town and do a lot of city drivin. You'll need Gears(front and back), install kits(front and back), and you'll want to upgrade your diff and put in a tru trac. All in all it'll run around 2K for parts and install. Most places install for around 300-400 an axle and parts will be around 1200. Go to diffwizard.com to find out what all you'll need.

Generally speakin for 35" tires you would want 4.56s for more highway drivin to keep mpg in check on the hwy, or 4.88s for in town drivin to give it more pep from stop lights and if you pull heavy loads. After it's all said and done, you'll want a custom tune to set everything up for the new gears/tires/lift
