Default reset "change engine oil" reminder

Got the oil changed, but usually the tech's reset the sensor for me. This time they didn't and the message "change engine oil" is still coming up. I've got an 03' LS and I don't have the fancy DIC, so I can't reset it there. I know it has something to do with pumping the brake pedal, but beyond that, I need some help. Thanks for helpin' a girl out.

Turn the key on but engine off.
Press the gas pedel fully 3 times
Then it will say "change engine oil" and then it will say "oil life reset"
After that cycle the key on and then back off.

I tried this with no luck. I tried at different times after I turned the key on, but I'm not having any luck. I'm not really the dumb*** it may seem, honest. [sm=loser.gif]
Is it possible that I'm just doing something wrong?

I don't know if this will work or not, but have you tried to discconect the battery yet? You should only have to have it off for a min or two, but I suggest 5 to 10 just to be sure.

Just make sure you fully depress and fully release the pedal 3 times, works everytime for me.

Turn the ignition key to the RUN position.
Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
If the Change Oil Soon light flashes, the system is resetting.
Start the vehicle.
The oil life will change to 100%.
If the Change Oil Soon light comes back on, the system has not reset.
Repeat the procedure.

works every time !
