Default Service Airbag on a silverado 2005

I been trying to get this light off for a year now Got a Electrical wiring Diag they came up with erro code B0083 /84 /82 they wanted $300 some to see what it is went to my mechanic he check it said it could be something with my seats not wire right since the previous owner put new seats in it . and he look at my cd player and it was not done right had tape . so he thinks there could be a cut wire . So what you guys think its a mess i don't want to go around spending my $$

Your mechanic is correct:
the sir system (airbags) has seat position sensors used to determine how close the seat is to the airbag and vary deployment force accordingly.

Do the replacement seats have any seat position sensors at all?

Not sure But my mechanic check it a lil and look good what about my cd player not plug in right can it be something to do with that he said there are cut wires by there a yellow 1 to

the airbag deployment loop wiring are all encased in yellow loom to identify them. None should run near the radio. If a restraint system wire was cut it will set a code. Post a pic of the cut wire and its connector so it can be identified as restraint system or otherwise.
